Here’s how it works…
Visit the market manager’s information booth and ask how to use your CalFresh EBT card. They will swipe your EBT card for the amount of your choice and provide you with tokens or vouchers in exchange. For every dollar of CalFresh you spend, you get an additional dollar of Market Match (up to a maximum). You can spend the vouchers or tokens like cash at the market. Spend your EBT on any CalFresh eligible foods like eggs, meats, dairy products and fruits and vegetables, spend your Market Match on even more fresh fruits, vegetables, fresh-cut herbs, or edible plant starts to grow at home. Nourish your family and support California small farms.
Market Match is California’s healthy food incentive program, which matches customers’ federal nutrition assistance benefits, like CalFresh and WIC, at farmers’ markets and other farm-direct sites.
