The Lomita Chamber of Commerce in association with local business sponsors has plans to bring a Farmers Market to Lomita. We’d like to know the interest level of the local community.
We’ve listened to residents refer to Lomita as a “food desert” since locals have to drive to neighboring cities for fresh foods and supermarkets. A Farmers Market brings healthy, certified produce right to the heart of Lomita. In addition to fresh produce, a Farmers Market can also showcase local crafters, musicians, artists, local restaurants and caterers, licensed home cooks, local businesses and community organizations.
