Lemonade Day Lomita is a free youth entrepreneurship program that teaches kids how to start and run their own business—a lemonade stand! Through hands-on learning, participants build real-world skills in goal setting, money management, customer service, and community responsibility.

Since 2021, the Lomita Chamber of Commerce has helped launch over 100 stands, empowered 300+ young entrepreneurs, and proudly produced two national winners and a runner-up.

But these aren’t just any lemonade stands.

Official stands are run by kids who’ve completed a real business curriculum, secured a business license and health permit, and may have even applied for a microloan. Each one tracks their business results with goals to save, spend, and give back—because strong businesses support strong communities.

It’s more than just selling lemonade—it’s a deeply rewarding experience that helps kids develop financial literacy, social confidence, and a true understanding of what it takes to be a real business owner.
