Community’s Child was founded in 2005. In 2008 we opened “Building Hope,” located at 25520 Woodward Ave, in Lomita - a transitional shelter for homeless women with children and have assisted more than 2,000 homeless. In 2016, Community's Child opened "Hope Community Center," located at 18807 Crenshaw Place, in Torrance - this facility is home to all of our community outreach programs which now serve more than 1,800 South Bay households.
