While we’re proud that our fast response policy minimizes productivity losses, we know too that we’re reducing the chance of secondary accidents. Our job at Van Lingen goes far beyond towing; we take control of the situation so that police, fire, and emergency responders can get back to work faster, and traffic can return to normal. But response is only half the equation…
Clearing an accident scene in a timely manner requires the right people and the right equipment. With comprehensive state-of-the-art equipment and service, we regularly implement the tools which exceed the needs of our customers and their communities. For example, in many accidents, diesel fuel or other fluids leak onto the road or highway. Safe and thorough cleanup can mean waiting for an outside agency to arrive, requiring roadways to remain closed and emergency personnel to stay on the scene. Van Lingen considered these shortcomings independently, and provided a solution: We purchased our own, state-of-the-art Haz-Mat command trailer and developed our own Incident Management Response Team. This “one call and done” approach means that we are often the first, and last, responder.
