Here’s how it works…
Visit the market manager’s information booth and ask how to use your CalFresh EBT card. Market Match is California’s healthy food incentive program, which matches customers’ federal nutrition assistance benefits, like CalFresh and WIC, at farmers’ markets and other farm-direct sites.
Becoming a Vendor
Submitting an application or making a reservation does not guarantee acceptance into the Market. Once you have received acceptance notice from the Lomita Chamber of Commerce or the Market Manager you are accepted into the Market based on availability, payment for booth space and per the Chamber and/or Market Manager’s decision. All applicants will be informed of their status with the market within 2 to 4 weeks from receipt of application. Booth reservations and payment must be made at least 5 days in advance to confirm a space at the Market.
Want to be a Vendor at the Market?
All vendors are required to submit an application. All applications require approval prior to reserving space or setting up at the Market. Apply early. We request 2 to 4 weeks to approve application. Approved applicants will be advised within 1 to 2 weeks prior to requested date if available.
Approved Vendor Reservation System
If you’ve already participated at the Lomita Farmers Market as an APPROVED Vendor, you can make your booth reservations and pay securely online. Booth reservations and payment must be made at least 5 days in advance to confirm a space at the Market.
How can you support the Market?
Since launching on July 5th 2020, we’ve started to attract loyal and consistent shoppers who come to the Market each week for their favorite items! And often are able to walk from home to the Market, just down the road at City Hall.
We’re so grateful to our community for coming out to support the Market. BUT we need your help to continue to spread the word to your friends and neighbors and to shop there when you can.
If we don’t have enough shoppers for our vendors to survive or thrive at the Market, they may not come back. With a thriving and steady flow of shoppers each week, we can continue to invite even more unique farmers, food vendors, and specialty products to keep things interesting at the Market.
